At the NEC2025 International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference, silicon wafer manufacturers such as Longi Green Energy, TCL Zhonghuan, and Gaoce Co., Ltd. showcased numerous innovative technologies, covering aspects such as silicon wafer production equipment, cutting consumables, silicon wafer products themselves, and intelligent management systems. Longi Green Energy


Crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem cell technology: Certified by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) of the United States, the large-area (260.9cm²) crystalline silicon-perovskite two-end tandem solar cells independently developed by it have a conversion efficiency of 33%, setting a new global record for the efficiency of large-area tandem cells. Through material innovation and structural optimization, high efficiency is achieved in an ultra-large size, opening up a new path for reducing the cost of photovoltaic power generation.


BC battery technology: The efficiency of BC battery modules has exceeded 26%, once again rewriting the efficiency ceiling of crystalline silicon modules and pushing the efficiency limit of crystalline silicon modules towards over 27%, demonstrating Longi's profound accumulation in the field of back-contact battery technology.


Tairui silicon wafer Technology: It has three major advantages: full-platform support, high resistance concentration and good impurity absorption effect. Its bending strength can be increased by 16% compared with conventional products, and it has a stronger anti-fracture ability, which can reduce the fragmentation rate in the manufacturing process. At the same time, the resistivity ratio of the head and tail of the produced crystal rods can be reduced from 3 times to within 1.5 times, making the battery efficiency distribution more concentrated and also improving the difference between the bright and dark cells at the module end.

Large-sized silicon wafer technology: As early as 2019, TCL Zhonghuan made a breakthrough by introducing 12-inch ultra-large-sized monocrystalline silicon wafers, breaking the limitation of the 8-inch silicon wafer size that had persisted in the photovoltaic industry for nearly a decade. At the NEC2025 exhibition this time, 210 monocrystalline silicon rods and a series of silicon wafers were on display. Relying on the advanced 210 technology platform, multiple breakthroughs were achieved in production efficiency and photoelectric conversion efficiency, helping the photovoltaic industry move towards a new era of 740W +.

Slicing factory-level solution: Centered on "self-developed and self-produced cutting equipment and consumables + self-built centralized control system", it covers the entire chain including hardware equipment, process technology, system integration, and value-added services. It can help customers achieve the leap from single-point equipment to full-chain cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and has been deeply integrated into markets such as India, Turkey, and the United States.


800 series diamond wire slicing machine technology: By integrating AI technology, through structural optimization and intelligent algorithm upgrades, it has enhanced cutting accuracy and efficiency, and achieved a higher level of automation and intelligence. The equipment is equipped with multiple original technologies in the industry. The wheelbase is adjustable from 280mm to 400mm. The additional tension of the entire machine is less than 1N, and the tension fluctuation is stably controlled within ±0.1N, resulting in a lower breakage rate. The core components such as the axle box have a longer service life, and the energy consumption per 10,000 pieces is lower.


Cutting consumables technology: It showcased tungsten wire electroplated diamond wires of specifications such as 18 and 20. The mainstream shipment specifications were 20/22 tungsten wire diamond wires. The 18 specification was promoted and tested, and the proportion of tungsten wire wires continued to increase. At the same time, it was reserving finer specification tungsten wire/carbon wire diamond wires, constantly innovating in the field of cutting consumables.


Intelligent management system technology: Launched the "Slicing Centralized Control System", supporting multi-device collaboration, remote operation and maintenance, predictive maintenance of equipment, and dynamic process traceability, etc. It has also launched the PDS intelligent dispatching system, which, through AI algorithms and its self-developed SCADA system, realizes intelligent material dispatching, intelligent control of production rhythm, and paperless operation throughout the entire process, increasing production efficiency by more than 20%.
